I took the exhaust off and looked inside the engine and checked the spark plug. Im pretty sure it shouldnt look like this? how bad is this? Any cures?

Unfortunately I wont be rebuilding for at least a year, that is if I do.

Also are the headers for the yoshi exhaust not suppose to be sanded and polished? I did it and I think there are little rust spots that want to form but Im going to resand/polish it again.

nothing is wrong. that is carbon built up in your exhaust port and the spark plug color looks normal.

thats good.

Also the nuts that hold the header in. should the bolt or the nut come out? I remember the 3 of the 4 bolts came out with the nut on, but this time only 1 bolt with the nut came out. Is this usually normal?

The nut should come off by itself but its not uncommon for the stud to come out with it, if the nut is seazed on.
