Can anybody tell me why KTM went with hexagonal tubing instead of round tubing for their a-arms and chassis? Hexagonal tubing isn't as strong.

actually you would be surprised how strong it can be. I can take a hit that round stock tubing can't take. I think it's way more forgiving.

The a-arms are round tubing, only the frame is hex. The hex tubing is also chromoly steel and other manufacturers don't use anything as strong as chromoly so they probably go with round tubing to compensate.

yeah i thought you where talking about where the bottom shock mounts to the lower a arm.

I think it was a bad Ideal for sure I have broken the hex tube right behind the a arms ?? :(
