Im getting ready to buy a 04-05 450R carb for my 12.1 416ex would this be over-kill since the older carbs are 41mm. I thought about the FCR39's but there only 1mm larger than the stock carb. Any suggestions?

hey man i dont know much bout the older 450r carbs but a fcr39 is one of the best carbs ever made IMO. we run dual 39 fcrs on our drag bike and i love them. u never have to worry bout them comin out of adjustment like alot of carbs. try watever u want and let us know how it works for u.

After reading more about it I seen one guy put one on a stock 400 and performed better so older 450r carb will be on order 2marrow.

you will be golden with the older 450r crb, 04-05. Ive did my homework on it and yea best bang for your buck on all bikes, stock-fully modded. i got mine on the way, cant wait to play around with it.

Went to order my carb today and the guy that rebuilt my engine was telling me that the carb was to large for my 416 and flood it out. I tryed to argue that I could always jet it down if it was to much. So what now?!?
