ok well i kno its suposto be at .005 but i dont have any feeler gages that will do that only .004 and .006 so what would be better a lil big or a lil small on the gap? thanks

Go a little big, mine were to tight this summer and when I would stab the throtle coming out of a turn it would want to stall.

it will just tick a little bit if its to loose, just spend the 15$ and go to sears and buy a feeler guage

the gap for valves is important, stick with the manual recommendations. when you change the cam the cam manufacturer may change the specs.
