this is the vin off the motor.

Not sure on the motor but if quads are anything like bikes the 10th digit is the year(number on the frame). Hope that will hope ya out some.

the vin number off of the motor can not tell the year. it can only tell the generation, such as from 1999 to 2004 is a certain one, when they added reverse in 2005, that got a new number.

and that motor is from a 1999-2004.

really that dumb. the sticker on my 400ex i just bought came off so i dont know what year it is. o well i payed 50 bucks for the thing.

on the front of the frame, by the top bumper mount, there should be the vin number for the frame. look at the 10th digit, and that can tell the year.

ya that sticker is gone. they should stamp the frame.

they do. it should be right here. it is stamped there, or atleast should be, unless it has been grounded off, like my quad(which is a sign it was stolen, and for the record, mine was stolen and recovered)

ya i know its right there half came off and the guy tried to paint it with spary paint and painted right over it.

oh, ok. bout the only thing you can do is try and read the 10th digit. other than that, you cant tell. unless you look on the carb for its serial number, that can tell if it is a 1999-2000, or a 2001-2004. but i dont know where that one is located.

i got the title for it. i will post pictures when its put back together. it was all takin a part in boxes thats why it was to cheat. i know its 440 with a t-4 slip on and 450r carb and shocks.
