i have an 01 250ex ive been on for a friend and we were changing the clutch..ran into a problem..we cant get the nut off on the main assem we have taken to it 3shops and they cant get the bolt off either..its not strip...we have even tried heating it with a torch still wont come off..is their a trick that i missed?

My manual indicates that it is a "left hand" thread. Is this your problem? Also, you may need to use an impact wrench to loosen. Most rental yards have one.

i have every tool knwon to man...but yes i tried going left but still nothing

call up a local dealer and see if they will let you talk to a mechanic or give you some kind of help

If a 100#ft. electric impact doesn't do it, the last resort would be a machine shop. The older the better.

if im correct mines is a 600 ft tq...ice taken it to a honda dealer they couldnt not get it off

what the hell?
is it welded to the assembly or somthin?

if the dealer couldnt get it off then its gonna be a tough one

i would let it bathe in some kind of penetrating oil to see if it can losen it up some

but then again i might not know what im talkin about
just my idea

Manual listed torque is 65 ft lbs. Find an old fashion machinist for help.
