I'v been looking at some slip-ons and i narrowed it down to 4 pipes. hmf, fmf power core 4, lexx mxe, and pro circuit type 496. which whould give more low end? which is quiter?

for what kind of quad? on my buds 300ex the powercore 4 is pretty loud, makes decent power though. you thought about sparks?

dont get an hmf welds break very easily

lexx mxe, they make 3 diffrent inserts for them so you can get the sound you want and they are pretty cheap i think i paid 179.00 for mine

get hmf or lexx. hmf is really loud but probably performs better than lexx.

got my fmf powercore 4 on and i really like it it seemed to give it a good noticable gain and as far as sound it sound good not to loud but when you take the spark arrestor out it really sounds alot meaner

i have an fmf power core IV and it defenitly gave me a good power boost on my 400ex. i once had this decible reader and at idle the noise was 96 decibles and when i had it just about bouncing the rev limit it was around 120 decibles. i know it's not as loud as an hmf but i also hear the hmf's are a great pipe for power

sparks, sparks, sparks, but if you cant afford the full system, get an HMF. you wont be unhappy with either
