If your buying brand new go with a Walsh. If not them go Lonestar. I dont know of anyone else still producing frames for the R.

Go to walshracecraft.com...................I dont think Arens is making frames no more. I ended up buying a Lonestar Baja Series in 2005....couldn't be happier. You will wait quite sometime for the wash chassis.

I believe CT still advertises Arens frames on their website...

Why brand new? What about a spectacular used one? I know a guy with a nice Laeger narrow, subframe, swingarm, CR500 linkage, etc....

Yes CT still has them on their site but they cant get any and dont have any in stock. I agree...there are alot of nice Laegers still out there! He must be set on the "new" chassis.

Aftermarket frames can be found for a reasonable price used. Also shipped for a reasonable price. I bought my LSR frame from OH and it cost me about $65US to ship it here, that was about 18 months ago. Its the border you have to worry about, but there is ways around getting the duty prices down, but its a risk. It all depends on what the package is valued at. Best way to ship a frame is to tuck the subframe into the frame itself and just bubble wrap the entire frame. Costs about $30 in bubble wrap to do the subframe and frame. The way the dollar is right now doesnt help any thats forsure....

Sent you a pm.

Best bang for the buck would probably be LSR right now, Stoneconcepts has a brand new one with pro-pegs for slightly less than new, but no waiting.

They have options for No-link or standard link.
Walsh would be your best bet for a CR500 link, but you are looking at $6K - the cost of a complete used machine.
HRE will build a frame to any specs you want and would be the closest thing you could get to a Laeger.

Here is my HRE frame in progress.

You'd have to call for availability, but a year should be enough time.

If your close to the U.S. border you could have the frame shipped to a P.O. Box close to the border on the U.S. side. Then drive across and pick it up. Might be quicker than having the frame have to go thru customs. Just a thought.

I know your looking to get one in a year but I thought I just seen a Laeger no-link on E-bay.....its been listed quite a few times with no sale. If its still on there you might want to make an offer. I think its in Massachusettes? Same seller also had the swinger shocks and a-arms listed.

i would check out a good used frame... or fine a race quad for a fair price and put the stuff you want on that and them make the quad with the stock chassis have everything else and sell it...

Make sure its straight and has not been welded on.
