400ex hp, and power gain questions

whats the hp of a stock 400??

the list of mods i have for the 400 are as follows...

Big Gun Race System
IMS 440 Big Bore Kit, or 500
WB Rev Limiter

about how much hp will i get over stock (with the 440, and the 500cc big bore kits)

hp stock is about 27 or 28, with a pipe and filter and CORRECT jetting i think it will probly raise it 2 or 3. most pipes don't give a lot for peak power, but do a lot for the bottom end. some bottom end pipes like the e series and T-4 will give about 3 or 4 at one point in the low end. i'm pretty sure just borring it out w/ no other mods won't really do that much, maybe 2 or 3 also. rev limiters most people claim do nothing.

2 or 3 hp?? is that including the 440 kit, or the 500?

you would probably see maybe 6 or 7 hp from that setup. To get more out of the 400ex u have to get a bigger cam and do some porting. and deff get a bigger carb 39 or 41.

some mods need others to compliment it. the 500 is a stroker/bore kit and pretty much needs a bigger carb and u would wanna new cam and springs exaust intake and some good tires to get that power to the ground. usually people who go for the 500 kits or 440s usually have the normal bolt on or drop in mods.

so get like a quiksilver carb and a hotcam stage 2, that kinda thing?
