now this the 2004 that i just bought 2 days ago and im getting ready to start on it ... what i want is for you to send me a couple side view pics of a YELLOW ex 1999 through 2004 with the original style plastics on it ....

well i just about have my red and black 1 all done lol but i got the ugly one from a friend that i ride with for real cheap ....

ya mine is gonna be a little different than that i am still gonna be running the first gen plastics but i am going to be running black fronts with red rears just havent had a chance to get em put on yet cause i been gettin caught up at work alot lately and had to go out of town for a week and a half but hopefully soon i will get a day off that i can get it all put on

i have plunty of time to do things rite now cause im layd off of work because of the economy ... so i will be able to get it going and should be able to get it finished in a few months ... the red an black one wa almost an all stock machine in october of 08 lol ..it only had a slip on and a few internal mods on the motor ..

ya ve gotten a bunch of new parts that i have slowly been tryin to find the time to put on but i got this one about where that one was with a slipon and a good amount of internal motor work and have since added or have and getting ready to add pro peg nerfs the red/black plastics 450r shocks wheels and tires 2+2 axle chain sprockets and a couple other little odds and ends but i just opened up a pizzaria jan 1st and havent gotten around to gettin any employees yet so i been spendin alot of time here which has left me with very little time to mess with it

I think that the steering stem, tie rods, foot pegs, shift and brake levers shouldnt be yellow because it would be too much and look cheesy and cheap. Leave the steering stem black or if you have an aftermarket chrome one that would look sweet. Leave the levers the way they are polished im guessing. The foot pegs should be black to match your nerfs. Other than that sounds like it'd look nice. If I was you I would try to incorporate some more polished or chrome parts into just so you can tell the difference between parts and it doesn't look like one big thing. Just my opinion though. Happy rebuilding.

well im still working on the list's of things to do in black or yellow ... i do my own powder here at home so if i dont like it i can always change it in a mater of a few hours ... so i will just have to see how it go's .. lol

I hear ya, if I had did my own powder I'd be experimenting like crazy until I got the look I wanted. Just remember its what you like that matters, not what other people think, though some different opinions help.

i bought it from a friend that put the sparks system on his ...it is the complete white brothers pro meg system ...all i did was clean it all up and powder coat the muffler can and put it all back together ...

^^ i like the nos bottle:p make everything black but the fenders and the sprockets and chain It would look sick. even alittle yellow rig on some beadlocks or something to really make it kick. I love the old style like ours. steve

Thanks. i plan on doing that to my wheels in about a week. i like the looks of it, plus it serves a purpose. the outer rim is the most likely to get beat up, so why paint there, just to have it get beat up, then have it look like crap?

hey man good photoshop ... the all black frame is the way im going and with a black swingarm an A arms ... i will also be doing the motor side covers in black powder.... i do my own powdercoat ...so it wont cost me that much to do it .... thanks 4 the kool pics man ... im also going to do my hubs in yellow so that gave me a better idea of how its gonna look ...

thanks. if you want me too, i can change any of those pics to fit what you are looking for. i also got the frame in a lot of other colors, like green, blue, red, dark red, and others, if you want to see other colors. Just tell how you want it changed, and i will do it.

i ordered some powder coat from columbia coatings and got it today and had to try it out ... its the prismatic black ... the pics dont look that good im going to post some new pics tomorrow when i can get them in better lite ...but this will prolly be the color i will be going with .. and the prismatic will make it look like its several different colors in different lite

(the cargo bags remove in minutes for fast riding).
It's nothing special, but it does have some Yellow in unusual places.... Bumper, Mean Eyes, A-arm plates...
