hello everyone im new to the forums and i just got me a 08 polaris 525irs i got it real cheap litterally gave it to me i only paid 500 cash and the only thing i had to get a new carb for it its an awsome bike so far i live in louisiana and im a firefighter and i got my first question no one can answer so ill bring it to the forums thx for any help.i have a 08 polaris outlaw 525irs and i cant find a fmf exhaust to fit a 08 will a 07 fit im just tryin to get a powercore 4 slipon

Spend the extra money and get the CT Racing Pipe, u won't regret it. U should have some extra cash since you only paid 500 bucks for it. Hope you got a title for that thing.

oh yea i got the title he was tryin to sell it for a while on ebay and some classified ads for around 4500 and i brought it up one day and asked if he got rid of it he said he was bringin it to the auction and he said he will be lucky to get 1000 for it so i told him ill give him 500 and he took it when he was trin to sell it he went and got a 700xx but im gonna take a look at them thx

yea he has a toyota t100 for sale but he wants 4000 for it its a pretty nice truck he keeps up with his stuff i told him ill give him 500 for it but he just looked at me like i was crazy that 700xx was nice but i really like the outlaw

the only thing i had to get was a new carb. and that was only 213 dollars and now it runs real good

Sounds shady. But hey if you got the title and it's real then it's yours. What was wrong with the carb? I mean it's an 08 you can get any part for that carb you want. I had to get a new tiny, o-ring for the pilot screw of my carb b/c from the factory they assembled it wrong. The way it's SUPPOSED to be assembled is pilot screw, spring, washer, o-ring. Somehow the factory assembled mine, pilot screw, spring, o-ring, washer. So the spring cut the o-ring and was letting it leak. It ran, but not good.

I was able to get the o-ring however they made me buy a whole pilot screw assembly with the pilot screw, spring, o-ring, and washer together. But I got it. Cost me $50, and I did not every try to get it under warranty, I'm not dropping my bike off for 3 weeks to the dealer while they b/s around trying to tell me it's something else trying to charge me for this and that. It's just easier to fix it myself and pay for the parts.

it wouldnt run off choke i took it apart and cleaned all the jets and soaked it but it still ran the same so i got tired of screwibn with it so i just purchased a new one which on ebay new was 213 shipped to my door and called polaris it was like 900 buck and that was crazy

I just installed a FMF 4.1 full factory system with powerbomb header on my 08 OutlawS (straight axle) and Im sure they offer the same for the IRS (and it looks better because it keeps it in the center where factory one is. I too looked at CT pipe and prefer the FMF.
I am already pleased with the performance gain, but still need to re-jet carb in order to gain top end power due to pipe and airbox modifications.
Got my full system on ebay for $490

thx o8outlaw i just ordered the fmf powercore 4 i was wanting some low end with a lil high end and that one sounded pretty good so i just got that one thanx though how does it sound btw

Sounds awesome- louder than stock, but not obnoxious and has a deeper sound at low end and more rumble as rpms up

yea i got me a set of mudlite to i heard good things im ready to get it all in i hope the powercore is pretty good i read good things bout them thx buddy
