View Full Version : Radiator mounting

Need help guys. I am converting to L/C. I am having trouble figuring out how to mount the top of the radiator. I have the bottom bracket but I don't see how the top is supposed to connect to the frame.

Here is the upper portion of the frame

This is gonna break the little mans heart if I can't get this to work. he wanted to race tomorrow :(

There is a bracket that goes on top of the radiator to hold it in. I'll try and get some pics.

make your own temporary bracket out of some aluminum bar or angle stock. that will get you racing tomorrow

The factory one is basically an L-bracket that bolts to the holes on top of thr radiator, then has tabs that bolt to the frame through rubber isolators.

The bracket runs the length of the radiator

I may have one if you need...

Just ruined a radiator yesterday

Thanks for the offer Gary. Les is bringing me one next week at our race.

I did build a bracket and it worked like a charm. So he was able to race after all.

yeah we will. Bike is all fixed, and tuned ready to go. Dales been practicing pretty intense the last three four weeks so he'll be ready for next month. We'll see you guys in Havaseu Good Luck to you too Darrell on your race!!!:) :) ;) ;) :) :)

He did great. Finished 1-1. He had a ball. Cassidy finished 2nd with a 3-3. When are you leaving for Racetown?

Cassidy can't come because of a basketball committment. So it will be just Zachary and I.
