Alright so i was in the process of puting my new houser steering stem in. I pulled the stem out and got to the point where i had to put the new steering stem bottom. Well im stuck there now because i cant get the tie rods out of the old steering stem bottom. Im gonna try and pry them out with a pickle fork but i tried beating them out with a rubber malet. anybody have any tips on getting them out? i've never had this much with tie rods before.

Gotta use something other than a rubber mallet. Sometimes that will work, but you need something harder most of the time.

you need to take a hardened mallet and hit the rubber mallet as it is on top of the tierod end...
