I'm just looking for some facts on both and which one would perform the best out of these 2 airfilters on my Outlaw 450. Thanks in advance...

I'm sorry but I can't say which one is better, but I can say I don't think you could go wrong with the k&n I have never used a velocity nor do I know anyone that has

velocitys are they way to go i have had a kn and i helped but the velocity gained more power(more air =more power)

velocity's are way better than a K&N as far as power gains but the velocity is a very thin filter so it will suck in dust and dirt so i would only run a velocity if you are running for points and its not a dusty race

Actually the Velocity filter uses a tighter woven fabric which should filter better than a K&N. They only flow better because of the increased surface area.

how is a velocity woven tighter than a k&n you can see right through a velocity

The material in a velocity filter is like a cotton tees shirt and the K&N is a surgical gauze

I spoke to a guy at Velocity by e-mail and he told me he would send me some pic's of the setup when they release them. I wanna c if their setup requires less modification to the airbox then the Rath setup because I'm trying to stay away from cutting it as much as possible because of some of the wet conditions I ride in.
