hey just wanted to here everyones 2 cents on if jetting for the sand, should you put a bigger main jett if it is right on just cause you are going to be rideing in the sand. I have read you need to because the sand puts more of a load on the engin, or do you run it on the lean side for that little bit of extra power?

the biggest effect is going to be your altitude. Since your at sea level and most likely going to be riding at a comfortable 70 degrees in the summer time and a fairly high humidity level. youll want to step up 1 jet size per 500 feet of altitude you drop. at the same time you can advance your timing 1-2 degrees because of the lower temps and hig humidity. This is just a rule of thumb and by no way a cut and dry answer to you issues.

I would take with you a couple of new plugs and do a plug chop the moment you get there.

Assuming your running a Keihen carb (PWK or AirStryker). I would start with the following:

175-180 main jet
50-52 pilot
DEG or DEJ needle in the middle position
air screw turned out 1.5-1.75
