Check out this new release on Can-Am's Factory ATV Racing Support (http://www.atvriders.com/atvnews/canam2009-x-team-ds450-atv-racer-support-program.html)

I wonder how hard it will be to get accepted.

You should see the Polaris grassroots program. Very nice. It's nice to see this, and hopefully more will step it up.

yea its great that they have the support but the quads still arent where they need to be IMO same with polaris, they have to offer something to have people switch over.

I think getting the can-am name out there is one of the biggest things they have to focus on. I can't count the number of times I've been asked "What's Can-am is that some chinese brand?" The product is there its just people don't know about it, unless they're into quads. A person new to the sport would probably go for a honda or a yamaha because they recognize the name and know its not some piece of junk and they're not going to get ripped off.

I don't know if I would say Polaris isn't up to it. they have just never got a top rider on one to see what it can do. Can-am got top racers in every series, but Polaris guys are about the middle of the pack. Eichner is still a top racer, but at 44 years old going against guys that are in the 20 and early 30's must be a tuff battle. I'm 42 and I know not what I once was when I was 30.:eek2: This year they really didn't get much better talent then last other then Yokley and Notman. But the other who do race them do well. Polaris has more class GNCC champs in the last 2 seasons then the DS450, KTM, KFX450, and the LTR450 combined. Not bad.:macho
