alright i got an 05 ltz with a EHS airbox cover (basically just an outerwear on the top of it) and a k&n filter and i bought the hmf sport full system and i cant figure out the right jetting for this thing and its really starting to piss me off!!! right now i have a 170 main 60 pilot because thats what the local dealer told me that would work but no such luck the pipe is glowing and it doesnt seem to want to hit the rev limiter on the top and backfires on the decelleration any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!

If its a stock carb. Try a 160 main with a 25 pilot.
If its an FCR , Try a 165 main with a 42 pilot. Thats with 800 ft. elevation, full exhaust, k&n power lid. Thats the best I can offer since thats what I runned. Won't know for sure what will work unless you slap some more info. up for us.

I have an idea. Put all the original jets back where they came from and just install the 160 main jet. That 60 jet is for the choke circuit:eek2:

160 main (some times bigger is needed) with a 25 pilot , fuel screw out about 2.
and leave the jet with the #60 alone don't touch it ,take the one with 22.5 out ,replace with a #25

the FCR carb is a performance enhancing mod ,another one is
changing the air intake boot with one from a trx400ex ,its good for 2+HP and should be done at the same time how ever the boot will work with the stock carb, but there are mods that have to be done to the air box.
one more trick is to replace the CDI with a dynatek ,please do some surching there is a bunch of info on stuff that will helpfull
