kind of a long drive from "chester to my neck of the woods. I am in the Watertown area. We actually have a lot of riding spots here though. All of the county roads are open to get from place to place and there are a lot of dirt roads, some trails and even a small dune or 2. We call them sand pits *G*
Lewis county is putting in place a trail system that will be permit use.
Unfortunately in New York States infinate wisdom most of the best and most suited riding areas are off limits. We can't use truck trails or logging roads, , legally.

Philadelphia has a cool spot to ride. Real dusty though...old railroad bed. Harrisville does an atv rodeo in august also. I'm sure there's more up there also..

folks are mentioning areas all around me.
The harrisville rodeo is actually in Pitcairn. That club has weekly events. Trail rides, racing, etc. The rodeo is a good time. We never miss it.
The trails over near Philly are not bad, (second handinformation) like was mentioned a part of it is the old railroad bed. I haven't ridden over there at all. I hear you can get over to the clayton area?
rensellear falls new york, city of the future. south of canton off rt 11, with the oswegatchie river(?)running through
it.

OK, I just got my Lewis County (NY) trail pass. The cost is $40 / year if you are a local club member and $80 if you are not. At $20 to $25 to join a club I will let you do the math.
The good news is that riding area has opened up and there are even 2 terrain parks that are free to members so it's not a bad deal if you can ride there regularly. or even for a vacation.

Im in Syracuse, I ride up in Constantia. Theres an old railroad bed that goes through there with lots of trails off of it. I guess the main trail goes from Fulton NY all the way to Rome NY. Ive also gone up to happy valley near Williamstown.
