Here are a few pics of my 09 525 irs I picked up from the dealer Monday. So far I really like it, the seat and control settings seem really comfortable to me, but I havent been able to ride it hard yet. One complaint I have with it is how the bolt holes used threaded clips instead of being welded to the frame, but that is a small thing. My first mod is an hour meter, which i think is necessary to keep maintenance on time. It fits nicely and is protected and easy to read where I put it.

Ok i was going to post the pics, but I cant get my pics to be the right size. Any tips?

can you snap a pic of the airbox and the inside, ive never seen a pic of it and thats what people complain about is the small airbox.

btw from what ive heard if you mod it, toss the box and run a straight intake with an outerwears. for the first mod, but thats what i have heard.

I will get you a pic of the airbox, but to me it is not a small airbox. It seems pretty big, but you be the judge. I do not like the air filter though, it seems really thin.

Really think you need to ride one first, give er a good blip of the throttle and you'll be chasing that small air box:devil:

You got the IRS, totelly differrent airbox.

Airbox on the IRS models is not small. More than adequate. It's the S model that has the crappy airbox.

Whats really cool about your pics is that it looks like your dog is tied down to the trailer with a ratchet strap!!!!!

She has to ride on the trailer lol. JK. That is the team Rocket Ron Mascott also. If you are at one of my races that isn't real crappy, you can meet her lol.

That picture has a story also, I had guys convinced I had an 09 just cause they saw me post pictures lol. The opportunity came to get a pic with my dog( something they had seen before) and I jumped on it.

Unfortunatly that quad does not get ridden enough but my buddy is very happy getting married this summer. Hopefully there will be a Bachelor Party ay Silver Lake for him.

Make a cardboard cutout of him and plan the party. If he's whipped & doesn't show then use the stand-in. Can't lose either way for all his pals!

Anyone that has the pure polaris rear grab bar- do you have problems with it moving up and down? I think I may have to make bushings for the bolt holes to make it quit moving, unless someone else has a better idea.

Yes and it is a crappy design. Call REM performance and tell them about it. That is who makes it for Polaris. I just drilled out the hole and put a nut on the back sige and then tightened the poo out of it.

Mine didn't move until I put mine on the grab bar once and not hard and it crack around the rear bolt holes.

MINE IS A AC racing 6 pack rack, its tight, had to modify it to see the light. PRM would be next choice.

They are crap...Spenser broke (2) if not (3) last season.....granted staying wheels down helps...but not impressed in comparison to other products.

You guys could drill the holes out and tap them with bigger bolts.

My grab bar moves also on my 450 but I do not care.
