I think I can do that I would have to wait until I get it back.
What kind of tool do you use to cut it?

Alright so you didn't cut any off the end of the plastics, you just rounded to bottom part?

The plastic looks so smooth where he cut it. I would be afraid I would hack mine all to hell.

i just use a razor blade after i tape it up and go along the line of the tape and run the blade in the groove like 15 times and then you will have a flawless cut.......and if you do have the edge looking rough the blade will take it away so easily........its was less scary and way easier than people think it is, im going to cut my rear fenders tomorrow
Both of them look good. I think cut rear fenders make the 400s look like they mean business... :macho
I think it would be easy to cut them like this.. dont think I've seen anyone do it yet.. just cut out that chunk by the side of the seat....

Yea, I'm definitely going to have to work up the nerve to do this. I guess eventually you guys will be seeing several templates show up on here. It will be a couple of months though. Just trying to get ideas.
Do it to it... Soon as I get my axle and my shocks come in for my +2's, I'm cutting away at mine..

the first picture is mine.. i used a jigsaw after taping out the lines.. i just went at it and mounted it.. looked at it a little.. then kept cutting till it was even. then i sanded the edges with 320 and 600 grit sand paper, and finished by taking a lighter to the edges to smooth it out again. take off a little bit at a time if you're worried... you can always take more off, but you can't put it back on.
