nuetral between higher gears

i was recently riding at duramhtown plantation on the drag strip and hit nuetral twice between 2cd and 3rd gears@wot i cant make it do it any other time unless im racing just wondering if anyone else has ever had this issue i hope nothing is wrong and its just me short shifting
