It sucks because it probably is worth around 7G. You never get back what you put into it, which really bites. I'd love to get a newer wheeler, but it isn't feasible for me to do it, nor do I see it worth it when I look at what it costs and how much I'd get for my wheeler.
This is definitely not a hobby to make money in.

That bike has a lot of quality parts. It is worth around 7 for sure.
Depending on its condition of course.

Economy isn't helping him.

yall are right, 8500 is a big peice of change, but dang, that thing is sick. the aftermarket parts he has on it pry add up to atleast 4500. and another 4000 for the quad itself isnt bad. i say if you got the money buy it, i think its definatly worth it.

the quad i bought had 10k aftermarket plus 4k (guesstimate) for the quad. i bought it for 4700. figured that would help.

I don't doubt it.Especially after you guys on here enlightened me in the variation of prices across the country for the 2009 yfz450R!
But then again 8k is a nice piece of change and with times as they are today I just believe he can get a much newer quad with accessories if he shops around.
With rough times financially today it is a buyers market. If you have green money in hand the deals out there are unbelievable especially for used quads.
