My plug is light grey almost white, so is there a bigger jet then 170?
My setup is in my signature
And I ride mostly at Glamis 0-500 ft elevation.

I had a 416 with a 170 and it ran fine. How does yours run. I think if you get bigger, your going to get that " I went too big on the main jet " bog. I also ride in Glamis. Too rich in the desert heat is a good thing, but "not to rich".

so what should i do guys?
get a different pilot jet?
put the stock airbox lid on?

a light grey plug means its too lean right?

170 sounds rich for the mods you have IMO, especially if it's a Dynojet jet.

FYI---The biggest Keihin jet is a 230, anything larger requires jet drills.

Well I'll stay with a 170 for now then.
I'll be putting a high comp piston in after Easter, will I need to change jetting for that?

Ive got a 12.1 comp 416 piston running 170 main and I think a 42 pilot, lid off and yoshi, plug looks fine on mine.

Before my 416, I had a 138dj, 3rd clip pos. down, 3 turns on f/a, and stock pilot, with a k and n airbox lid on, and t-4 slip-on between 500 ft to 1000 ft. That is quite a big jet even with the lid off and a full exhaust which I assume you do not with the e-series, if you do it is still big just not quite as big ya know.. It may just want that much. .02 though, steve

Try the cooler spark plug, DPR9Z. When I put in the sparks advance key, I kept getting white plugs, as soon as I switched to the DPR9Z it ran way cooler and my jetting was right on.
