Pre filter for dunes?

Should I use a prefilter for sand riding? We ride mostly in the desert but are taking the bikes to the dunes for the first time in a few weeks. I am using a foam filter and all of the prefilters I can find say they are designed for pleated filters like the K&N.

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

What brand do you use, Im looking at either the outerwears or filterskins.

I think I am leaning towards the outerwears.
