is there pressure in the crank case?

ok i have never had 4 strokes and i know 2 strokes dont but do the 4 strokes have pressure in the crank case? thanks

ok so yeah has some pressure in there, the reason i asked was me and my buddy want to look at a 03 kfx400 that he can trade his 99 kx250 for and the chain had came off and broke the case saver and you could see some put some jb weld on the case. we couldn't tell if there was a crack or not....should this be a big worry?

ive dont the same thing on one of my old 4 wheelers the chain came off and cracked it and i just put some jb weld on it never had a problem

i told him i wouldn't worry, but he isn't sure what to do...i said it is worth more then the kx250 so its up to him
