kn filter question

whats the difference between a oem kn and a kn clamp on as far as performance? also i have a outlaw 500 and was wondering about jetting if i have a filter replacement or clamp on. thanks guys

go to k&n web site look for the filter you need...on my 08 525 i just checked today it specifically said that the replacement filter requierd no jetting at all.

so im pretty sure the replace ment filter is better since you also know its going to be a direct fit and make the best seal with your airbox and carb

if you clamp it i think the proble is it would get more air or the air will follow a differnt path into the engine so then you may need to jet.

plus u may need to cut your air box witch will make it more vulnerable to water
