View Full Version : front brake hose to short?

i recently put new handle bars on my 08trx 450R and now the front brake hose is to short were can i get a longer hose or what do i have to do to make it work? has anyone else had this problem i put new bars on my bros 400EX and had no problem can someone help me out !

depending on how much u need you can cut down the bars it may bring the line a little shorter. you could have it routed wrong because i used stock brake lines on my 450r with long travel A arms so they should work

its the rubber hose not the hard lines. Its fine when the bars are straight and when u turn left or right is when there is not enough slack.

Take off the clamp that bolts the rubber hose near the upper steering stem clamp. It is a single bolt. That should give you some extra room.

what i did was take that single bolt out and went to the auto part store and bought some hard brake line and just made a new one that was about 2in longer than the stock hard line.
Get some stainless braided brakelines. They will be long enough, and you will have better stopping power.
