I just rebuilt my o5 honda 450r i went with a new wiseco hot rods crank and a baldwins 12.5/1 and a new clyinder ok this is my question after my rebuild it fired up 2nd kick haven't had any problems with it, but the motor is making a ticking noise i don't believe it's valves i believe its just piston slap, but i was wondering if anybody else has ran a baldwins piston and also had this happen its not really loud but queit abit louder than stock, i just was wondering kindof nervous about it thks for any help

Did you put in a high performance cam. High performance cams make a ticking noise.

We had a problem where The wieght on the end of the cam for the decompressor was sticking and it was making a ticking noise.

Is it only at idle, because if the idle is to low the decomp. weight wont fling out shutting off the decomp mechanism causing a ticking noise
