i just finished 11.5:1 compression and kibble white valves and springs. idles good sounds good running a 165 main and stock pilot and the quad ran beutiful previously. but now the quad gets to about 3/4 throttle maybe less and falls straight on its face. is it jetting? timing? anyone else have this problem

do you have an aftermarket airbox? or stock? lid on or off?

it has a kn air box lid. it seems unlikely the mainjet could be loose but ill check it anyways

165MJ is way too lean for an 05 with the stock carb and air box lid off.
If the air box lid is on, then 165 is probably too rich.

Try something in the 180-185 range.
Then let us know how it runs from there, see if it needs anything else.

HMF suggests a 180 main with lid off w/a slip on.
