ltr 450 shocks

newbie, I have been reading through the posts and I am still a little confused. I have an 03 ltz 400, and i am looking to upgrade shocks. I am looking at buying 07 tr 450 shocks to upgrade, but after reading alot of this it seems the back shock wont fit at all. And the front shock isnt a direct replacement. Am I missing something or is that really what the deal is?

TO FIT THE FRONT SHOCKS YOU NEED A WASHER EITHER SIDE OF THE LOWER BUSH 3mm THICK. I HAVE A LOWERING KIT SO THE TOP WAS NO PROBLEM. YOU MAY NEED TO DO THE SAME OR SPREAD THE MOUNTING ON THE TOP.
LTR SHOCKS ARE MUCH BETTER THAN THE NON RSERVOIR SHOCKS FITTED TO EARLY MODELS.
THEY ARE A BIT HARD BUT IS YOU WIND THE SPRING CLAMPS OFF AND TURN THE REBOUND AND COMPRESSION RIGHT OF THEY ARE OK

Thanks for the information. that deal didnt work out, so I have gone with 450r shocks instead.
