hey guys i was just wondering if yall could help me out with something.

you know how there are the two panels in between the doors that are the ugly gray color. i realized today they are removable. Does anyone know how to remove them,.

i would like to remove them to get them painted to match the truck. i think it would look real good.

if anyone would like to photoshop it gloss black i would appreciate it.

i have an 04 f-150. and if i'm not mistaking they just pull off?? i would get some more info. before you listen to me. try www.f150online.com or www.fordf150.net for more info. becasue i know i didnt shut my back door all the way one time and when i shut my front door and open it back up it popped it off. ended up bending the corner so i had to epoxy it back on. but mine are black

i am likely going to buy the chrome handle covers and have them painted black. i think that would be easier than disassembling my door handle.

however i will be doing a 7" lift 37" tires with 22 (black with chrome lip). so i figured a little chrome would look good.

maybe if you do the handles at least if u dont like them you can paint them.

yea. i absolutely hate the look of plastic on black. i would paint the bed rails if i didnt throw some much crap on them.

Yea bed rails get messed up quick, but hey thats why we buy trucks right

what wheels are you going with

im actually getting it all used. it was my brothers lift. he is selling the truck and he would save a little money by selling me the lift/tires/wheels/levelingkit then trading it in with it.

heres a picture of it on his truck.

Nice, it looks good and thats gonna save you a ton of cash. You should think about changing out the gearing too, this will help you gain back some of your mpg.

i wish i had the money to do a bigger lift on my truck. i only have a 3" body on mine with 35" MTZ's.

i have some crome handles around the shop if i can find them i'll send to you. let me know. if i'm not mistaking i have 4. so you could paint one set and leave one set crome, see which one you like better.

EDIT: they are only the crome levers. not the lever housing and all that. still let me know if you want them. they been layin around for a year

if you would like to send them i will pm you my email.

i will deff get a gear swap and while im at it locking rear differentials. im tired of one wheel peel. however, i prob wont be doing any peel onece lifted.it only has a 4.6.

just to clear things up this will be a pretty boy truck. no mud. mud tires yes, off road no lol.

I regret my mudding days in my truck. It's catching back up with me with problems.

Ok. I'll look in my shop when I get back in town

Yes with the 4.6 you def need new gears to help with power and mpg. My truck is a pavement princess too, thats the best way to do it, mud destroys all kinds of parts. My truck stays on the street unless im driving my quad to the trails.

By the way the 4.6 sounds awesome with a good exhaust on it. I think its one of the best sounding engines.

i agree but i cant afford magna flows or flow masters.

speaking of exhaust how would it affect my mpg?

Im pretty sure that as long as your stock pipe is 2.5 then you should be good. As long as its the same length and everything like your stock muffler.

Measure your stock muffler then you know what to look for.
