just found a 1994 12 valve cummins with only 34k on it, the guy i kinda know he wants 8500 for the truck and it was used to plow, it has a 5 inch full exhaust, new u joints, he said a new tranny, and brakes all around and new tires, i was just thinking that a 94 might be to old, but with only 34k on it idk.

Thats a good engine, I would look under the truck and see what it looks like. Dodge is also know to rot big time underneath. Check with www.kbb.com

That is low mileage but if he only used it for plowing thats 30k miles of plowing, I'd stay away.

My dad has a 94 .. but it's not a diesel.

I'll tell you this much .... wheel bearings go on these trucks very often. I'd take it in to a garage and get them to take a good look at the front end ... it can get costly very quick.

My guess would be it's in rough shape... We have two Dodge 2500's with plows on them that have between 15-17,000 miles on them and the front ends are SHOT!!! I would never put a plow on any pick up truck that I cared about.....

It also depends what kind of plow he had on there. There are HD plows and there's also plows that are very cheesy. The weight of the plow does matter. I have a 2001 2500 with a Fisher and the truck is fine. There is a usual amount of rust with only 21,000 miles on it but the truck serves the purpose for me, a truck is suppose to get the crap beat out of it, if u think not then go buy a Dakota :D

You should create on master "I want a truck" thread instead of every week starting a new thread when you find one.

Just a suggestion.
