after your done riding. while its still running. turn it off with the killswitch AND THEN turn the key off. this has saved my battery from dying since december 07

also you should run the quad almost every day or every other day to charge up the battery a little

had mine since last march and no problems have few buddies with reg/rectifier problems. also called kawie and they stated if its washed under the front around the headlights with a pressure washer it will contaminate the plugs. most common I've seen is the reg.

i dont see how that has anything to do with it. my battery has never died and i only use the key to turn it off.

panioloboys do you leave it in gear when its just sitting? i think i read somewhere where that may cause your battery to die

whenever i forget to turn the killswitch first my battery gets low or dies in the winter.

the killswitch must control a slow drain or something. i know theres a topic on it over at kfx450hq. and many have cured the battery dying problem simply by doing what i posted above.

Just buy a battery tender and keep it on there when you are not riding.I've used them for years.Have batteries now that are 5..6 years old!
They are cheap and worth every penny.
