Well I picked up this frame the other day. Anyone know the manufactor? It needs to go off to Pappy for some treatment. But I think I need some mounts first.

Sure looks like an early Lone Star no-link. About 99.999999% sure.

I'm no expert, kinda feel underqualified seeing what you guy's pick out on here, But it looks like an old JP outlaw frame.

Dustin,

Dustin, thats what I was thinking too. But, doesn't Lonestar have the "star" logo on the front where the radiator sits?.......I know mine does. But, I wouldn't rule out the JP outlaw like laeger-n-ky said.

I dont think the earlier Lonestars had the star insignia on them in the earlier year productions.

My JP/Lonestar frame has a JP cut out in the front bracket between the shock towers. I thought all JP's had this......

Dustin,

I'm with Dustin...I'm thinking LSR..like right after LSR took over JP.

The early ones didnt have the stars when LSR first toke over.It does have the LSR down tubes at the top front shock mounts instead of the old JP style. And it doesent look like the frame is double reinforced at the swing bolt like new LSRs do. So thats why it looks more like one of the first LSRs.Still had features from both companys.

Its hard to tell from the pics. But it also looks like the front mount is the same as my 2000 LSR frame. Is there a bottom motor mount? It looks like the rail going across has been cut? Im no expert at all either, just kinda comparing it to my frame. So i agree with Dustin on it being an early LSR frame.

yea thats what i was gonna say. the front of the jp frames the shock tube goes strait down and it either has jp machined into it or its cut out

Whatever it is it looks like it used to have a 4stroke mounted in it. Hence the missing motor mounts.

are there mount holes on the in side of the frame rails where motor mounts would go?

yes in the front, bottom.

it appears it needs one of those larger one piece front engine mounts like the LSR one
