quick question...need a quick answer

Do any of you guys use a torque wrench for the valve cover and cam covers. I want to do the cam mod but don't want to buy a torque wrench.

It's only recommended 8 ft. pds of torque which is not much. I simply use one hand and tighten it with wrist strength rather than cranking on it with arm strength. My torque wrench starts out at 10ft pds.

As far as the valve cover bolts, they aren't as important as the cam caps.

The main thing is consistency , the cam cap bolts need to be torqued exactly the same. (7.2 ft. lbs. or 87 in lbs. to be exact)
