CR500 shock and linkage mount locations?

I'm searching for the mount locations for the CR500 shock swap. I've been able to find out the correct linkage needed, and the shock length of 17.75", however I still need to find the exact locations of the mounts.

I'm speculating that the lower linkage mount is probably in the same location as the stock 250R linkage, however I know for sure the top mount needs relocated. Can anyone point me in the right direction for this information.

I already have the shock, linkage, and swingarm.

I'm thinking the lower linkage mount is offset also but not 100% sure. I think Walsh makes a kit for the stock frame or they will do it for you.

Shock length is around 19" unless it's different if you convert a stock frame.

Contacting Walsh is your best bet.

get with walsh, the have what you want. yes the shock is offset

According to WORKS website the listing for Laegers CR500 chassis takes a 17.75" shock. (which is the length of the 85-88 CR).

Actually, The Laeger chassis with the CR500 swinger took either a 17.75" shock or an 18.25" shock. The later model CR500 shockse were 18.50" shocks. I have no idea why the Walsh kit would take a 19" shock.

I guess I probably better just build my upper shock mount to match the 17.75" shock that I have.

I did see that the shock and linkage is offset 8mm.

The shock mounts are definitley offset. Get with GOTFEAR. I believe he had a conversion like this on a stock frame at one point in time.

When I had my Laeger bikes, the rear shocks were about as long as my 19" fronts for a Pro Trax front end.

The PEP ZPS shock for my 2001 Laeger CR500 link frame is 18.75 inches long.
