On 2007 DRR's are the 50 tranny gears the same as the 90's. If not what is the difference.

They should be, but anything is possible :)

Gear ratio should be 11/31

I know the 50 gears are diffrent then the 90 gears.
Most of the 70 racers are running a 70cc motor and
changing to the 90 gears for a better gear ratio.
I tried to put 50 gears in our 90cc and it was way to low range.

All of our 07 DRR 50cc quads had the 90cc 9:1 ratio.

All 3 cc's come with the same gears except for a shipment or two that came in with high speed gears. 13/28 ratio.

There are 50 gears available but they haven't been a standard part for years.

Maybe on other brands but not DRR

The old drx has 2 different gears for the 50 and 90.
All of the new ones come with 90 gears no matter
what size motor.

The Kasea has a different gear for the 50 and 90 no matter
what year they are. So it looks like any 90cc gear is what you
want in your 50!!

9-1 is most common for 50cc, its easier to sproket with them .

Marc or Gary or someone, Can you guys take a minute and give us the tooth counts for each set of gears? i.e. - 50cc gears - clutch shaft count: , larger center gear count: , the gear pressed into the larger center gear count: , Sprocket output shaft count: , Repeat for 70 and 90. Please.
I've went through so many that I don't know what gears I'm running for sure. LOL.

Okay I had a chance to look inside my '07stock DRR 90 motor and count all 4 gears.

90cc gears -
Clutch shaft count: 15,
Larger center gear count: 47,
The gear pressed into the larger center gear count: 11,
Sprocket output shaft count: 31.
70cc gears - ?????

I just happen to be in the middle of putting a case saver on mine (had it for months) and had a heck of a time getting the gear case cover off. Turns out the little vent line was allowing some water in......... oil was murky looking and the case guide rusted a little causing the case to be hard to remove. Anyone seen this before? Any secret out tere for the vent tube?

Our Quad is a late '08 90 L/C. It turns out it has the high speed gears 13/28 . Is there a noticable difference between the 13/28 and 11/31? We want it geared for woods racing (GNCC.)

Your comments are appreciated.

FISH ON!: Reference a noticable difference between 13/28 and 11/31: I would not want the high speed gears in a GNCC bike, They are for more top speed and less low end. They are suppose to be stronger from what I've been told though so If geared right it may not matter. How's that for and answer? LOL
As far as the water issue, what about putting one of those metal gas tank vents on the end of your tube? It would still breathe and may help with blocking off the water.
