When you install HD head studs do the bolts still work that you have or does it come with them? Also how much do machine shops tippically charge to get them done?

The heavy duty studs are the bolts. GT Thunder sells them you get the studs(bolts) nuts, and a roll form tap to keep the head from becoming damaged when tapping , and the cost is around 60 dollars.

you can also get a helicoil to tap them with. stonger than anything else and you don't have to worry about stripping them out later on. thats a little better IMO

GT Thunder will send a diagram showing the height of each stud according to its position on the jug, I didnt trust the machine shop so I labled mine so they wouldnt get it wrong.

Or you can just by my cylinder, it already has the HD studs in it, they were installed by gt thunder so you know its right. Its a 440 though, just has to be resleaved.
