i have a problem with the left rear castle nut on my quad. i noticed that tire was kind of wobbly but the other was fine. i was going to tighten up the castle nut but i found that the tip of the axle is mutilated. the previous owner must have beat the **** out of that nut with a sledge-hammer. the correct size is 1 and 1/16" socket, but it is too small for the nut now. i checked the other side and it fits perfcect. hopefully a bigger socket will do the trick. i'll get a pic as soon as i can. has this happened to abyone else before? anyway, the worst case is gonna be to remove the stuff on the other side and push the old axle out and get a new axle w/ stock hubs. i hope i don't have to do that! i just got my car and it needs a full exhaust system, so the cheaper this is to fix, the better.

thanks. i'll bring it to auto shop at school and i should be able to get it off with all the air tools there. didn't think of that at first. i'll just take the axle out of the carrier by undoing the other side and just pull it out.
