bore question

im about to redo my top end and want to know what bore = what?like a.40 is equal to what cc and what is .80 = to and so on.i think there is 3 bores before you have to sleeve right?

somebody has to know this????what i want to know is if i was going to a 416 what piston do i buy.40 over or .80 over or what?and what about a 426?

I beleive .040 over is 406, .080 over is 416 and .120 over is 425. The piston sizes or usually measured in mm though, so a 406 is a 86mm, 416 is 87mm and 88mm is 425.

What kind of gas do you have to run with your setup in oreder for it not to detonate. Im doing a 10.5-1 standard bore and am hoping to be able to stay on pump gas. Im worried about how hot it gets here in the summer though.

I have't got it together yet. I am in a rural town so I am going to Mesa to have the cylinder bored on the 28th and I should have it together, the next day. So I will let you know.
