anyone on here drive a kfx400?

a buddy of mine wants me to go look at a 03 kfx400 with him, were i have the 400ex he said i would know more then him...he has been riding dirt bike for a long time and wants a change....just wanted to know what to look for, i ask in the z400kfx400dvx400 but they didn't say much just about the frame...thanks

frame damage, spitting spudder, backfire, throttle response, tires.

Look and see if the handle bars are bent, could mean it's been rolled and if so it could lead to problems later.

Check the air filter, it tells you alot about the care that the quad recieved. I went to look at a DVX and the air filter was missing! Needless to say the oil was black and I bought a 400ex :).

go through all the gears and make sure it shifts smoothly. also look by the upper front shock mounts and see if the paint has spider web cracks in it.this is the weakest part of the frame.

also check rear swingarm for cracks and check all the front ball joints and check for tears in the boot
