View Full Version : 250ex auto clutch help
A freind got a great deal on a used honda 250ex. Its been rode hard but runs good. The problem is when you put it into gear from neutral, it stalls because the auto clutch is not disengaging. You can get a rolling start and it shifts o/k. You cannot get the clutch to release by lifting up on the shifter. I'm guessing its a broken clutch shoe spring. He is buying a manual so he can repair it. Has this happened to anyone and they repaired it ?
On the front of the engine their is a nut that says decrease and increase. The size is 14mmi think. All you have to do is put a flat head in the little notch in the middle and turn it toward decrease. If that don't work try turn ing it more.
Thanks for the info, i'll pass it to him .. he paid $500 for it, so if it needs more repairs, it wont hurt too bad.
