Alright so it's been a year to the day. A year ago this day I took my quad to get a 440kit put in it. Stroke the crank, and several other things. Estimated time of completion was two months. Well let me tell you... that's not how it worked out.

First day I got it. This quad needed a home!

Winter project. A this point I'm about two months from parting with the motor.

The only mud this thing has seem since current mods.

Now for my last grueling year.

Timeline: Took quad in on Feb 9th, crank got pushed back for being machined several months later. April rolls around wishing I wouldn't have even had the stuff done. April 29th rolls around and I'm riding my buddies 450R, I get into a wreck and break my collar bone. So savings = $0 after doctor bills are said and done. Motor has set in the shop ready to run since September of last year. I'm finally back into a decent financial situation and am able to pay him for doing the work. I went and got my chasis outta my buddies shop today and cleaned her up.. Here's some pictures.

Finally clean and ready to go to shop. I hope to have it back in two to three months depending on how much I save. I'm going to save absolutely everything I can. So I will broke till that first tank of gas is used. I could almost smell the exhaust today while I was cleaning it up.

I will keep this thread updated on how things go. Pics and possibly vids will be coming in the future.

well at least your back on it now, by the way i love your plastics i have the same ones but there green, i want white ones soo bad. Nice quad though looks way better then when you got it,

you will have to up date us when you get the motor back in, tell us how it feels and how you like it compared to you buddies 450r

Yea. I'm anxious. He's 450r just has exhaust and a cam. I really hope it has more power. But if it doesn't then maybe that is a sign that I shouldn't have that much power :D lol

Aren't you on s10forum man.. I thought this bike looked familiar. Last time it did not have the arms and axle. Makes it look so much better than with the stocker suspension. Looks good man.

Man I've been having bad luck with my Dime. Last week I was driving and hit ice. Slid around and rolled backwards into a big ball of ice. Ripped my new roll pan off. Passenger side rear tire was almost 6 inches off the ground. I was pissed. My truck was stuck on the ball of ice on my passenger side leaf spring. I had to have my dad pull me off of it. Flex pipe is also going out right now so it's really loud. Not having a very good winter.

Sucks man.. I had alot of problems outta my dime too. When I get another mini, I'm definatley going import.

How are them Pro armour nerfs holding up. I hear alot of good and bad about them but I think there the best looking nerf/heelguard combo.

The only problem that I am having with my nerfs is that the rear plastics rub the top of them while riding and have warn off the pain to the aluminum.

I would like to make them more square. I'm sure I will go through a ton of tap trying to get them how I want them. The hardest part for me is actually cutting them. I'm going to be scared. lol

Mine did the same thing. I hated it. it screwed up the plastics and the nerfs. Just like you I was too scared to cut the brand new plastics. I payed way too much for them. good luck

Yeah he did the fender has rubber marks and the stickers are all tore up, my racing pants have rubber marks down them. We're going to try and jack it into place and get some diamond plate for a heelguard.
And no, he didn't even say anything afterward.

Alright guys so I have some good news. I got a call today from my step dad at work. He asked me how much I would own the shop for doing my engine work. I was scared to tell him because I figured he would freak, but he didn't! I told him around 3k give or take a couple hundred for labor. HE'S GOING TO HELP ME PAY FOR IT!! Haha I'm so excited. This means I will have it back even sooner than expected.

Today has been a good day. -The Rain. But at least it's not snow.

Because I've driven a 450R. I don't like them. I don't like how they feel, and I don't race, so there is no reason for one. My buddy has stock suspension on his and it's really unstable in the woods. I do a lot woods riding but like to have power and be able to ramp. I might go to a track every once in a while but I'm not a racer. I bought a 400ex at first because I had only plans to trail, well after riding it for a year I wanted more power. So I hopped on my buddys 450r. I like the power, but I didn't like "it". I hope that answers your question.
