You see on the top there is a slit? Is that the bolt or is the bolt just worn bad? I put a vice grip to that and impact wrenched it but it still turned.

that is a piece to the bearing kit..the bolt runs threw it..your saying you put vice grips on that and an impact on the bolt and everything spun together? if thats what you mean then more than likely your bolt is siezed up

yup, it turns when its in between the vice grips.

I got some mapp gas torch and pb blaster. spent about 2 hours just on that part and it did nothing!

I dropped this off at a shop and asked them him to take it off. He said it shouldnt take him more than 1 hour. should I just tell him he can cut it to make it easier to avoid potential frame bending?

Is it wise not to replace the bearing kit when the bolt is seizzed inside the collar?

unless you had a mapp cutting torch set up you wouldnt have made it anywhere. its a shop. let him do it how he does it. if anythign bad happens he should have insurance that covers his arse ;)

since it is seized up, do you think a new bearing kit would helpful? maybe not needed but helpful?

absoultely complely replace everything in the swingarm. bearings and all. ive had better luck with oem bearings and colars even though they are a little more expensive. then when you get it back and have new bearings pressed in and are re assembeling be sure to use some no seize grease on the swingarm bolt. i always pack the needle bearings in the swingarm with belray waterproof grease before i slide the noseized greased pivot bolt through.

yup, the bolt just spun with the collar. I did hit it hundreds of times. heated it with mapp gas, pb blasted, and hit. did this continuously for several hours. It did make it spun more freely though. THe guy said it will be done on monday since he has the weekend off. said it shouldnt take more than 1 hours.
