Hey, Lookin to bump up the power in my 04. I was thinking A webb cam, 13.5:1 piston, and some sort of clutch kit. Ive herd that a crf ignition and a crf carb also help because of the hotter spark and the acc pump on the carb. Is this true. Also am I going to need new vavles and springs with the cam or will it be a direct drop in? Thanks, Ryan

Depending if you want to run race gas, In my 05 I has a Cp 12:1, Web 208, +1mm exhaust valves, it was a rocket i ran fresh 93.

with a web cam you are going to need a spring kit, and depending on what web you will need shortened valve guides too, i would suggest new valves since your doing a rebuild, some say the CRF ignitions arent worth it some say they are, it has nothing to do with the spark, its that you use the CDI off the crf which has better maps and a higher rev limit and the flywheel is lighter also. FCR carb is def. worth it! try to get one off of the 07+ 450s since they are the biggest stock. go with CP for piston, clutch kit isnt neccesary if your clutch is good

Alright ya I was expecting to run race gas anyways so deff going 13.5:1. As for the cam its good to know about the valves. I have a 40mm fcr powroll carb now but with no acc pump is that any good? Clutch is smoked so thats also necessary
