shock questions

I just got some 450r shocks in and one you can shake and hear the gas buoncing like is it half filled.. is this right

Sounds like it has a leak and is half full of fluid. You should have them serviced.

And how much does that run? I dont have that much money. I bought these from a member here and was told there was no problems with them.
