i take it, that you have bought a set of axis shocks, and want to know what springs you need.
1st i need to know what a-arms they were ordered for, and what a-arms you plan to use them on, i assume the rider weight is 200-225lbs, does this cover rider weight with gear? what brand and year atv, and experance level (years). mx, woods, etc.

the tender springs are color coded, there should be a blue, red,or yellow mark on the tender springs. there are no markings on the out side of axis shocks to tell what they are valved for, they have to be dissassembled and measure each valve shim to determin valve spec.

i can also tell you what valve stack, body, and shaft length needs to be in the shocks if i have all the info. example: if these shocks came off a honda and you put them on a yamaha, the shafts, bodys, valving, and springs will have to be changed. gets pricey!

i bought them off a friend locally and they are long travels triple rates fully adjustable came off a yfz450 that had houser +1 xc LT arms on it

my a-arms are JB +2 3/8 LT

ive been using them for a year now on my arms and they have been great shocks now they are ready for service oil is leaked out and gas also they are shot until serviced

my main springs are 250 rate my tender springs have a green and black sticker type tape on them.

they have held up good and havent had any problem bottoming out i just would like them to be a little more stiffer because i was goin to lower the ride height and everything. they are 18inch from eye to eye extended length

i ride mx A class id say 225lbs with gear on

Your tender springs are 700lbs. While they are apart being serviced the suspension tech can spec them out and let you know if they are valved properly for your setup.

new seals are either $65 each (if they have an older style seal head in them) or if they are the newer seal they are $25.50 each and if they need new bumpers $15 each plus the $70 shock service.

Worst case $230 if they have the old style seal head, shock service, and bumpers.

the only price difference in std travel axis shock service would be $10

Some shock seals are cheaper elka racetech stadium they are only $10 each

If the seal head is a hex then it is the old style but lately some of the round ones have been the old style as well. I guess I won't no 100% until the shock is apart.

that price wasn't with the valving

you can change the spring rates but you will have that or more in changing the springs.

thats probably why your shocks are blown out. gtt has some great info on their website about taking measurements and such. check it out man. my buddy had a set of elkas that were in bad shape and completely sucked...he did what laz told him to(the printable sheet on website), sent them there, and got them back and let me tell you...some of the best shocks i've ever felt.

just a thought. do it right the 1st time and save a bunch of money.
