ive been thru 30 or so pages of gasket threads and didnt find what i wanna know. i am goin to get a wiesco 416 11:1 piston kit, and have been reading on how the compression is not true as it says on the box. what gaskets do i need to run to get this to true 11:1? maybe xr top and cosmetic base? or do i need to deck the cylinder?

dosnt really matter just make sure you tighten the head bolt at 15 ppsi or you will blow th gasket.

I would contact the manufacturer of the piston and get their recommendations for gaskets. They'll know what gaskets it takes to get their advertised compression. Ross recommended XR gaskets to since that's what their piston was originally designed for. But I went with EX gaskets to lose some compression. I wanted a little insurance against heat and detonation. Also, as long as the machine shop doesn't pull your studs out when they bore your jug, you shouldn't have any head gasket problems.
