My 1991 Honda 250X floods easy. The quad is in good shape. I run an FMF Power Core pipe, K&N filter, D8EA plug. I still have the stock jet (122) in the carb. Probably need to go to a 125. When first starting, I will choke the quad with little or no throttle. Usually it will start right up. If I give it to much throttle on start up it make crank up again or just flood. Gas will come out of over flow and I will have to wait awhile and try again. When it does run it does fine. After cooling down I may have to go thru same process. Any ideas on the reason for flooding? I have had a couple of 250x's with no problems..... Thanks

Take the carb off and check out the float. It may be sticking or something.

I plan to to go up one to two jets at a time and see what the outcome is. I am in Nevada and at 3200 ft. above sea level.
