View Full Version : Aftermarket subframes!

Anyone have pics or know of anyone who makes a 400ex subframe. I would like to build my own, and would like some input or ideas. I was thinking of using adjustable heim joints for the bottom mounts and have no tabs on either side but what is needed for the rectifier on the left side and the exhaust on the right side, other than that i want it to be very clean looking with an adjustable grab bar. Any Ideas or pics guys?

I checked it out, 370 dollars is pretty steep and it is pretty much a stock subframe that has been modified for a 250R grab bar. Any Idea on what kind of material they use? I thought about making the top rails out of square tube either 3/4 or 1". and using like a 1" o.d. x 13ga pipe. Think that would be heave enough?

if your gonna be bending metal, try and replace the grab bar with aluminum tube and secure it with bolts or pins. maybe some type of mounting bracket. it will save weight and you could polish it cheap.

where can you get those subframes that lift up in the back, you know they like lift the seat and back plastic back instead of taking it off.

im talking bout a 400ex btw.
